SPIKE - Seminar in Paris for Interactions around Kinetic Equations

Kinetic theory and kinetic models, which already have a long history in applied mathematics, have gained in importance in recent years and are the focus of several internationally renowned research groups, one of the largest of which is based in Paris. Since several years, the fields of application of kinetic models have not been limited to gas and fluid dynamics. Indeed they have proved to be very useful in describing, for example and by no means exhaustively, astrophysics and celestial dynamics, population dynamics, certain phenomena in biology, socio-economics and finance, just to name a few.
