On the occasion of Philip Boyland's 70th birthday

The study of dynamical systems on surfaces goes back to Poincaré and Birkhoff, with motivation from celestial mechanics. The development of topological tools also makes it possible to describe the dynamics from a global viewpoint, and are also fruitful for studying differentiable systems. Dynamics on surfaces are represented in South America, the United States, Japan, France, Germany, … This conference will give the opportunity to share the latest advances and new methods in the subject. It is a natural sequel to Surfaces in Montevideo (2012), Surfaces in Sao Paulo (2014), Surfaces in Luminy (2016) and Surfaces in Bedlewo (2018).

The conference will take place the week of 4-8 December 2023 at Observatoire Océanologique de Banyuls-su-Mer . Here you can find all the information about accommodation at the centre and reservation mechanisms.
