Using an asymptotic mapping, we relate them to the partition function of the directed polymer model on the square lattice. For a specific choice of the edge weight distribution, we obtain a model known as the log-Gamma polymer, which is integrable. Recent results about the fluctuations of free energy for the log-Gamma polymer allow us to prove Tracy-Widom type fluctuations for the smallest eigenvalue of the random Schrödinger operator. This results in a generalization of what is known for products of i.i.d. complex Ginibre matrices, and powers of one such matrix. For instance, the empirical distribution of singular values of any word is shown to converge to a Fuss-Catalan distribution whose parameter only depends on the length of the word. This can be extended to matrices with i.i.d. non-Gaussian entries, band matrices, and sparse matrices with optimal sparsity parameter. Joint work with Yuval Peled.\\ |

Dans cet exposé, je vais expliquer une version non-commutative de ce problème : l'objectif est de retrouver la distribution spectrale d'une matrice qui a été modifiée par un bruit matriciel. Contrairement au cas classique, il n'existe pas de noyau intégral similaire à la transformée de Fourier, ce qui rend le problème en général impossible à résoudre. Je vais présenter une approche possible par la méthode de subordination qui fonctionne dans le régime "libre", c'est à dire dans le cas où la taille des matrices tend vers l'infini.
